Dama N.V.: the company behind PlayAmo — and once BitStarz
partly verifying Dama N.V. (a Curaçao company, registration reported as 152125 in gambling directories) operates a large family of casino brands built on the SoftSwiss platform. It's one of the most-cited multi-brand operators in crypto gambling — and the source of a common mix-up about BitStarz.
The brands run under Dama
- PlayAmo — the flagship, and the brand most directly documented under Dama N.V.
- FastPay, Oshi, King Billy — long associated with the same operator in gambling-directory listings (casino-groups.com among them).
- A wider tail of SoftSwiss-platform brands is attributed to Dama in directory listings; we treat that tail as verifying rather than confirmed, because the list is large and not register-matched.
The BitStarz correction
BitStarz is frequently listed as a Dama brand. That is historical. The current operating company printed in BitStarz's own terms is Gareton B.V. (Curaçao reg. 160656) on licence OGL/2024/165/0185 — a different entity. The reported lineage runs from Direx N.V. through Dama N.V. to the present, so "BitStarz is Dama" describes the past, not who runs the brand today. We publish the correction because a stale ownership claim is exactly the kind of thing this site exists to fix.
How we sourced this
PlayAmo's link to Dama is well-attested; the registration number, the Direx lineage and the broader brand family come from public gambling directories (casino-groups.com) and are marked verifying until we match them on a register ourselves. The BitStarz/Gareton change was read from BitStarz's own terms and corroborated on the Curaçao certificate. Operator structures move, so each line here carries a date and we re-check them.
